Intimidated by sweater projects? About to knit your first sweater? Knit a few, but just not in love with your FOs? Join knitwear designer, cabled-sweater enthusiast, and Hudson + West Co. cofounder Sloane Rosenthal for this workshop, designed to help you build the skills you need to get from concept to #happysweaterface. Sloane believes knitting sweaters you love knitting and wearing is within everyone's reach, and wants to help you get there! This workshop will cover everything from project and yarn selection to swatching and sizing to finishing techniques that will give your sweater that "wait, did you MAKE that?" polish.
Supplies: You'll need an idea or two for a sweater project you're thinking about making, a pencil and paper, a calculator (or your smartphone), and a set of body measurements (yours, or your target sweater recipient's—we'll send around a worksheet before class for you to record on).
Homework: Record the measurements
