How do you take your sequence knitting skills to the next level? Join Cecelia Campochiaro, the creator of sequence knitting, for a class on creating richly textured triangle shawls. You will start with a quick review of the concept of sequence knitting, the shaped 1-row method and how to read sequence knitting instructions. Then you will dive into shawl shapes, working them tip up or long-edge down by using provisional cast ons. Cecelia will then help you understand chart reading for shaped 1-row patterns, working with 1 or 2 colors and making"cheat sheets". Because the texture can be quite complex, she will discuss strategies for quickly checking for mistakes. Spend a cozy November afternoon with us and let Cecelia show you how to incorporate these textured fabrics into beautiful triangular shawls.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Supplies: 2 balls of smooth yarn in solid, contrasting colors, appropriately sized needles and a pen or pencil for note taking. Optional: students can bring other yarns they are interested in using to make a triangular shawl.
